Where is Hinchinbrook?

The Hinchinbrook region is located in North Queensland, Australia, and is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes and diverse ecosystems. It lies south of Cairns and north of Townsville, with Ingham serving as a key gateway to its attractions.

The region is part of the Hinchinbrook Shire, which includes the town of Ingham. Ingham is approximately 110 kilometers north of Townsville and 230 kilometers south of Cairns. It provides access to various natural wonders, including the iconic Hinchinbrook Island, the largest island on the Great Barrier Reef.

The surrounding mainland also boasts several beautiful beaches, such as Forrest Beach and Lucinda, ideal for swimming, fishing, and relaxing by the seaside.

Our charters and cruises depart from the boat ramp at Dungeness, a small coastal community located about 22 kilometers northeast of Ingham.
